That is where the work sits. Before a single panel is bent, the mould has already been drawn, milled, sanded and tested. Often more than once, until the curve is right and stays right. This is not a part you pull off a shelf. It is custom work that starts with your design and ends with a tool that exists for you alone.
Many people look at the price of a mould and see a one-off cost that weighs heavily on a first run. Understandable. But a mould stays with you, run after run. Invest in a good mould today, and two years from now it still bends the same shape, in the same quality. The cost falls once. The result stays. *Lifespan depends on production volume and use. Two years is a conservative reference point.
And then the number that surprises most: a mould for wood bending costs around 70 percent less than a die for plastic injection moulding. Put the two side by side, and you see at once why wood is the smarter choice for many shapes. You get a natural material, a real shape and a tool that keeps working, for a fraction of what a plastic die costs.
